beauty products

I am a SUCKER!!

A friend has started selling Mary Kay and I went to her first party to be nice and to allow her to practice. And I wasn't gonna buy anything but then I felt bad and I really do like the hand and lips stuff, so I ended up buying it and I was all, I like the face stuff I use now, I don't need new stuff and its too many steps and thank you, but it's not for me.
But she's a sneaky lady, oh yes, she gave a whole trial set to use and by god if I don't love it after just a few days. They give you your first bit for free and then you are HOOKED!

I'm gonna end up a Mary Kay whore and I hate it.

Are you a sucker for new beauty products?

lol

A MK rep came over to my house once. And she had that box full of lipsticks and eyeshadows love

I wanted that box! She told me I oculd get one if I became a rep. I was SO close to paying for that thing. She kept calling me and she had a team leader or whatever they're called call me. They were trying to reel me in...but I decided to spend my money on something else

I still want that makeup kit though.

Last week I went to a Mary Kay pedicure party for the first just to make a friend happy. Her boyfriend likes to give her pedicures with MK products biggrin .
I fell in love with their hand and foot stuff, but I think it's a little overpriced.
My friend has an appointment for a makeup lesson, but I'm not trying that, I know I'd probably like it.

I'm a sucker for new facial cleansers and bath products (like body washes) moreso than actual makeup. Except for lip gloss. I've lost count as to how many things of lip gloss I own.

I went the Mary Kay route once at a party....turned out I was allergic to it..
my face dried out and broke out in these honkin' big hives...looked like I had
bee stings all over my face...they refunded my money too btw....

I guess if you're not allergic, it's wonderful stuff... biggrin

I'm allergic to a lot of Avon products, especially the fragrances.
Don't seem to have that problem with other cosmetics.

I was, technically, a Mary Kay lady for a minute. giggle

When I was in high school, an older friend of mine was selling it, and she reaaally wanted recruits, so she actually bought my starter kit for me. I found that I didn't like most of the products that much, and hated the culture (at least, the local culture) of annoying housewives. But I did theater a lot back then, and I LOVED having that huge makeup kit. lol

I don't care for MK, but I do love me some beauty products. I spent a bunch of money at Sephora recently. . . mostly on Benefit makeup and Michael Kors perfume. boxed

My favourite foundation at the moment is Chanel , I love it. It has a great texture, I've never come across Mary Kay products, are they similar to Avon?
