people are so fuggin fickled. for years, the saints were the "aints"...empty seats everywhere. fans wre booing . one natural catastrophe and suddenly green day and U2 are playing at a regular season game. nobody gave a fuck about the Saints before Katrina, now they hyping this game up like it's a Super Bowl. tens of millions of dollars into the Superdome, and yet entire communities are still devastated. talk about fiscal priorities. confused

I refute your comment. First off, as a New Orleanian who has property there and family too, people should help themselves instead of handouts!! My family house was under 10 feet of water and the others in the middle class neighborhood too in the east and now from all that work and not waiting on government handout they are back in their houses. I was so proud when i went their last month but shocked there are now chickens and roosters running wild in the neighborhoods!! But, in the 9th ward all u see is the lazy bums sitting outside their fema trailers with wine bottles and boom boxes. When FEMA take those trailers away Spike Lee will be doing another film when they all be crying Racissm again!! Then they getting mad the latinoes are taking over. Let them have the city, they building it, so let them have it!! SEE YAH

As pointed out during the game, the Superdome brings in a lot of jobs.. jobs right at the Superdome, hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions, etc. More jobs = more money to the people who live there = improved city economy. I think it's great that the whole season for the Saints is sold out, because that guarantees that improving economy. People underestimate what a major convention/sports complex can bring to a city.

But yeah, some aid should go to those who are in dire need of it. However, people who aren't moving their butts and could and just relying on handouts when they're so capable of doing much more should take a hint from those that are making a comeback there.
