How many post does it take before someone is insulted? I've been reading a lot of threads to try and catch up with what's going on in Prince's world as well as the org in general. I've noticed that after about 3 to 5 post in each thread someone gets insulted and things get personal. What's going on in Prince.org? Threads are hi-jacked from that point forward. It's because Prince fans are incredibly frustrated and jaded since Prince now royally sucks compared to his badass self otherwise. Anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or a leper. Just compare SOTT to Musicology - oh, Musicology holds its own does it? No it doesn't, it holds its own just like the robbers did after their legs were broken on the cross. i.e. It doesn't.
Also, everyone over there makes the fatal error of starting discussion threads based purely on their own opinion and expect everyone else to feel exactly the other way. If the world worked that way, there wouldn't be problems would there?But they don't see that, so they get offensive and call people idiots just because one person doesn't agree with them. It's a prime example of ignorance and musical snobbery and it's why I never, ever go there anymore unless I'm drunk and then I leave stupid posts, or offensive posts, but I try to go for stupid because I amuse myself.
