What was it like? What did you have to do? I'm just wondering 'cause I never have and I'm about to become a test subject myself.

only once, as a favor to a friend. i flatlined for a while, but other than that it was no big deal.

I dont know if this is being "experimented on" as such per se, but about 12 years ago I was a guinea pig for an alternative therapy College, which specialized in accupuncture, reflexology, aromatherapy, shiatsu massage, etc. The students had 2 go through with u before the practical part of the exam all your medical history and what regular complaints that u suffered with!! I told them about all my sinus problems and at the time reocurring throat problems, etc.!!

When it came 2 exam time for the students, they used 2 call me up as well as other people so that these students could practise their various courses on u!!

Anyway, during one session, I was practised on with 2 treatments, aromatherapy and reflexology and anyway, the 2 treatments counteracted with one another and I ended up going down for 3 months with sever bronchitus and being bed - ridden for the WHOLE 3 months!!

Now, 12 years later I still have respiratory problems and at one time I was thought 2 have TB!!!

Yeah, I participated in an HIV vaccine trial for quite some time. . . over a year, certainly. I volunteered for a testing group that was pretty. . . um. . . severe. They were testing the saftey of the vaccine being delivered vaginally, and then they had to take samples from basically every orifice except my eyes and ears. Yeah.

a breast cancer study

they drew quadrents on my breasts and once a week they did a breast exam and an ultrasound. it was very interesting to see the changes that were going on the inside during different stages of your menstral cycle. they also drew blood weekly to measure my hormone levels. that was the point - to see if a woman's hormone levels and the effects therein could be a predictor for breast cancer.
