I don't know...there's something about this show that bugs me. I just can't get into it. I try to, and the last few weeks, I've set reminders on the TV to make sure I watch it, but then I end up turning it. The acting isn't that good for one thing. I feel like even though the show is supposed to be kind of a sci-fi thriller, it's not really that thrilling. Some scenes are predictable. The producers are clearly trying too hard to make it "weird."
I just saw X Men 3 over the weekend, and it, of course, made me think of Heroes. So are they all going to come together under Mohinder's direction/teaching and harness their powers and become heroes of the world ala X Men?

Lammastide said: My opinion (Laced with maybe a couple spoilers, so be warned)...
* Alter ego chick: I don't like her. This subplot seems more some supernatural turn than an evolutionary development. Now if we find out later that she can willfully replicate herself -- maybe into several or more doppelgangers -- that'd be interesting. * Japanese teleportation dude: Really fun. But I hope they work on the FX to better present his power. * Supposed-to-be-hot-but-too-dirty-to-be-sexy precognitive artist: Boring and melodramatic. I hope they kill him off very soon and find some other way the group can know its mission(s). * The invulnerable cheerleader: I'll have to wait and see. But the rib-push thing made me nauseous. Reminded me of Saturday Night Live's old Adobe car skit. * The guy who suspects he can fly: The BEST twist of the pilot! It seems he can't fly (he's perhaps telepathic, though), but his politician brother secretly can! That was interesting. * Rogue Indian-American professor who's "destined" to lead the crew: Big time corny, and smacks of M. Night Shyamalan, who's on my indefinite "S" List for being too hokey lately. His involvement just seems too contrived. * Cheerleader's dad, who secretly has knowledge and interest in these superpowered humans and perhaps will be a lead bad guy: Could be interest, if they play him well against his daughter. I'll wait and see. **Overall, I'm on the fence, but hopeful: It's got some interesting potential, but also runs the risk of getting unforgiveably cheesy. And I personally wanna see a super-powered brotha in the cast! (I think the clip for this season's episodes may have hinted at one on the bad guys' side.) [Edited 9/30/06 10:44am] I agree with all of these points. I'm still watching this but each episode, the annoying parts annoy me even more. Mostly, I just want it to lighten up and not be so gory and grim. The reverse has happened with "Ugly Betty." The things that annoyed me about it at first are becoming less important. The scene this week with Betty and her flaming gay nephew playing the dancing video game was the durn near the sweetest thing I've ever seen on TV.
