You ever seen Who Will Love My Children? It's the most emotionally manipulative movie of all time, a work of sick genius. It's based on a true story of a single mother who is dying of cancer and has to choose the families her kids are going to live with. It pulls every string you ever sprouted. Bastards. All filmed with TV movie soft focus.

Then there's The Champ. I'm man enough top admit I had a wee lump in my throat at the end of that one. Then there's that bit in Awakenings when De Niro's body is giving up on him and he's trying to fix Williams' glasses which he broke in frustration at falling back into a coma again.

Sorry Mick, but I just think this thread's got more legs if we generalise and make it about weepies.
