Wanderlust....

Do any of you harbor a bit of wanderlust in your soul, but squelch it becuz of life circumstances (job, family, whatever)?

And for those of you who don't completely squelch it, how does it manifest itself?

Let's hear your stories..... biggrin

My wanderlust is semi-present. I kinda can't right now since I'm young, but I do intend to find a place to settle after having seen everything.

I like to shit in familiar places.

Yes, I sure do but don't have enough money to do all the traveling I would like. I am fortunate though. My husband and I usually get away somewhere warm and sunny every winter. Although, I'd love to see some really exotic places like China, Japan, Greece, the South Pacific just to name a few.

Hi Natisse....maybe you don't remember me from NPGMC, but I remembered that you're living in London right now....are you ready to get back home?

Athough London is a very nice place to be..... cool

Let me explain a bit more....I don't think you have to travel all over the world necessarily to satisfy the "wanderlust" in your soul...just a short trip down the highway to another town, or a trek out onto some back roads to the countryside will give you a wonderful sense of freedom.... cool

I aliken 'wanderlust' to the 'gypsy in my soul'.....a need to be free, even if just for a short while...

hey hug yes I do remember you absolutely smile ...and to answer your question yes I'm very ready to go home now. I'm planning a trip across the US on the way back and that's the only reason I'm waiting until April (when my 2 years is up) otherwise I'd be on a plane home already

I believe there's only one kind of wanderlust whether you're single,
married, or living with someone.....it's that undeniable "itch" to
hit the highway, get on a train or an airplane and just go.... biggrin
