CortestheKiller said: Man, I hate autumn. I fucking despise it. Screw all those colors, which indicate shit's about to fall off. Ugh... Give me green, give me flowers! Give me fields of LIFE! And the way the air starts to feel! Like all the life has been sucked out of it, with that chill behind it....
Ugh, I tried to plant a bunch of fall flowers outside my townhouse just to keep some color going so I'd feel better. I planted my bulbs for next year.

This has always been my favourite time of year - September, October, November.
I like how it's still sunny but there's that chill in the air. I don't know why, but Autumn always feels cinematic to me - like I'm walking through a movie. I don't feel that way at any other time of year. I also like how all the bugs die and don't appear again until next Summer. Not that I wish any insect any ill-will, but they get on your tits after a bit, don't they?

Cold rainy yuck here I've been singing rain, rain go away for 2 days now hoping to get a cute pic of Jenna in the leaves before my hubby rakes them up. I was hoping they'd be around on her 5month birthday but more than half of the leaves have hit the ground already...
We have some gorgeous hill in Duluth right now though

'Tis Autumn
Old Father time checked, so there'd be no doubt; Called on the North wind to come on out, Then cupped his hands so proudly to shout, "La-di-dah di-dah-di-dum, 'tis autumn!" Trees say they're tired, they've born too much fruit; Charmed on the wayside, there's no dispute. Now shedding leaves, they don't give a hoot La-di-dah di-dah-di-dum, 'tis autumn! Then the birds got together to chirp about the weather Mmmm-mmm-mmm-mmm. After makin' their decision, in birdie-like precision, Turned about, and made a beeline to the south. My holding you close really is no crime Ask the birds and the trees and old Father Time. It's just to help the mercury climb. La-di-dah di-dah-di-dum, 'tis autumn. It's just to help the mercury climb. La-di-dah di-dah-di-dum, 'tis autumn. ...Partially done on an episode of Sanford & Son. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. LOVE Autumn...
Jumpers and scarves, wooly clothing, crisp leaves underneath your feet, misty breath... it just takes me back to being a kid for some reason.

* Little kiddies walking to school in their bright, new clothes
* No more sweaty, uncomfortable days * Warm cider and roasted corn * Chunky sweaters and velvety courdoroy * Football and tailgate parties * Oktoberfests * School open houses (I LOVE those! ) * Homecomings * Things pumpkin * Foliage tours * Thanksgiving (Twice for me this year!! ) * Actual darkness at eveningtime, so that you can unwind and just relax. * A slight chill -- an excuse to cuddle under a thick blanket. Autumn is the jewel of the YEAR! Shame the earth can't die all year 'round. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
