Why is there this pattern of the guy doing something or taking the woman somewhere for the anniversary?? What the hell do the women do???? Anything?

They put up with us, Spats. Plain and simple.

clapping

Our first meal was cooked by my Girlfriend, who then drove 100 Miles in her car to my Flat for us to eat.....obviously reheated as it would be cold after 2 hours.... lol On our 5th Anniversary we decided to have that same meal, so my Girlfriend cooked the meal and whilst it was simmering in the Pan, the Cat came in and started eating it neutral

We do something every year on the anniversary of our first date.....

Bull.

You're right. It is bull. I was being dismissive.

Fact is, they do stuff for us all the time. They pay for meals, trips, gifts, events, etc., as well. I can't convey enough how important talks with my girlfriend are. She's constantly cooking for me, supporting me. She's a blast of fresh air.

Doing something nice in return for her isn't a hardship. It's a pleasure. Doing that sort of thing for anniversaries is a wonderful way to declare your appreciation and love for a great woman and honoring what she brings to your life.

...then again, you shoulda just spared the explanation, as it's much like talking to a mac n'cheese-scented brick wall when it comes to spatsy.

When are women paying for all of that for men????? I would love to meet these women that do all of that for men. You have a rare relationship. Getting a woman to shell out money on a freaking date these days is hard enough.

My Girlfriend does the same. She surprised me one weekend by secretly organising a long weekend for us, she even booked my time off work by contacting my Manager and organising all that. My manager just came in on the Day and said I could go home early !! I was like woot!.....I still had no idea when I got home, I only got suspiscious when we got on the Motorway.....Oh it was a weekend in Warwick.....Heres a PIccy of the Apartment we stayed in:

I've been there, and it's really nice, but honestly the food is too good for me. I'm not at a place where I can really appreciate it. It's too much weird meats that aren't cooked enough. And since there's one menu per night, you don't have a choice of what you get.

I felt under pressure, too, like I had to enjoy it, so then I didn't.

For eating I'd do better with the cafe upstairs.

But it's a very nice gesture, and if you guys like really nice food, I think it'll be great.

Expensive restaurants are not worth what you pay. Especially for two people. Ya get scalped. I am not getting screwed over.

you pay for the experience as much as the food (which is also an experience) but for me, you're right, the experience wasn't very good and it wasn't really worth it.

For some people it's absolutely worth it because they'll remember that meal for a long time.

It might even lead to s%*kt$#e

Its not about the food. Its about letting the chick dress up, get complimented on, and especially that you would pay for an expensive meal. We are different creatures us dudes. Im cool with beer and pizza. Unlike us, women are in for the atmosphere, attention, and appreciation. It is simple, really.
