WAKE-UP! Or, maybe it's just too late... Yeah, what I get is that humans have an extremely advanced capability to delude themselves. To believe incredibly irrational shit, either because they want to, or because they completely lack critical thinking skills. The Ouija board would be a fantastic example of that.
