though it's not a movie, the tv show 'the office' really nails it. the idiot office head with the megalomaniacal assistant manager is a fixture in every office.

The Office - none better
Trainspotting (when he's showing the house and then later when Begsbie and Sick Boy jump out of the cupboard.) smile
Pulp Fiction (very dangerous having a crush on the boss' girl)

It took me awhile to get into it because I loved the British version. But the American one is just as good, if not better.

it's a really good movie nod

I pop it in to watch from time to time when I need to get motivated....that's about the only movie that I can stand to watch Ben Affleck in and thought he gave a pretty decent performance.

I tend to avoid films about work. Does 'Willy Wonka' count? It was about a factory... confused

Oh... I've thought of one!

Oops - everybody else seems to have said this too. boxed

Get the complete box set(it's in black). Thank me later. You need the Christmas specials(the two last epsiodes), which are included. Trust me. biggrin

Naughty, naughty. I like that one, too. Although, I could only dream that it would remind me of a work experience.

the david brent/steve carell character is a lot more nuanced...well, relatively speaking, anyway. he's a lot more like a real idiot boss rather than a TV sitcom idiot boss. you can see the big, rusty wheels slowly clanking in the uk version's big fat head, whereas - as much as i like steve corell - sometimes i think he veers a little too far into jim carrey "look at me, i'm funny" territory.

Co-sign on "Office Space." I never knew what a funny movie it was until my coworkers kept telling me, "Rent it and watch it, it's hysterical!" They were right.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
