Maybe POOK should consider using ITUNES EQ PRESETS.

DOES POOK KNOW HE CAN EQUALIZE ONLY THE SONGS HE CHOOSES AND NOT ALL OF HIS ITUNES LIBRARY?

Easy!
You highlight the songs you want to equalize, right click and in properties choose the EQ you prefer.
The best part is it will synch when you plug your iPod too. smile

I really wouldn't pay for anything like that. I don't know about AAC audio, but mp3 files already have a "gain" tag built in, which you can adjust using a free program called MP3Gain - http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/

Thanks for that, I've been looking for something like that for a while. I wonder how long it'll take to get through 55gb of mp3's. biggrin

Just ensure that you do a full album at a time - unless you're making a compilation.

All the modifications to the gain tags are reversible though.

It doesn't change the actual sound, it just tells any mp3 player or program how loud the default volume should be.

yes the files are 1/10 the size of a wav file, so I don't see how they could possibly sound as good.

I love Itunes, because you can't buy one song for $.99 at a record store, but for an album, I want a cd!
