Had a nasty bastard virus a while back that none of the normal programmes were able to kill or detect. Eventually downloaded Ewido, and I have never had problems since.

I can't really recommend one over the other, but I can advise that having more than 1 is not a good idea and can b a real pain.

For ongoing protection use the Zone Alarm firewall and AVG Anti-Virus programs.

They're both free! smile

Ad-aware isn't really an anti-virus program though. More like anti-spyware wink
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

NOD32

Hands-down no questions asked.

Daily antivirus updates; live file monitoring and the lowest resource usage of any antivirus program available. It's literally hard to notice it running.

disbelief the rest are just shit, bar Symantec AntiVirus (totally different from Symantec Norton AntiVirus). Symantec's only available to corporations (unless you bittorrent it) though.

woot! I love it so, so much. It takes seconds to boot up, which compared with my old laptop is AMAZING. Pentium D 05, 1.5 gigs of ram, NVidia 7800 GS, ASUS lga 775 motherboard, all wrapped up in this case.

How else am I supposed to download movies overnight if it's not quiet enough to sleep with?! Makes perfect sense to me. biggrin

Doesn't it get troublesome trying to clean out the disk drives and whatnot? hmmm

lol look at how geeky we're getting! (i love it really)

No it doesn't - it's actually the opposite. It's so small that you can just whack a hoover in there and it all gets sucked out very quickly. There's also the fact that because they're small you put them on the table and they gather far less dust - almost none. I've cleaned mine out once in almost 12 months now.

I don't have to worry about that problem. Not only do people worship my computer, but I also wake up in the morning and PISS excellence, so everyone knows they shouldn't mess with me.

talk to the hand It looks awesome. I don't like any LEDs or whatever on the front of the tower, but on mine I've got a blue LED fan in the back that casts a really neat shadow on the wall behind my desk when I have all my lights off. biggrin

I prefer nice mood-lighting with dull and dark yellows that create a lot of shadow, plus a few candles (preferably scented) and some jazz or some really melodic NIN.

Nice, I miss being able to have candles in my bedroom. They're banned at my school. pout

I tried my freshman year, but the goddamn smoke dectectors are super strong. It was oodles of fun going in front of the disciplinary committee and having to go, "Candles are banned? confuse I thought that was just in the upper-class apartments!" lol
