i can't go with her cuz i'm not American. She'll be in NYC. she actually has U.S. citizenship. and no Spats, you wanker, she did not choose her career over the relationship. I think If the relationship was the most important thing above all else then she would stay close to you. just to clarify, spatsy: that's milty's girlfriend. not yours.

I am just going by the situation he described. She is putting that over the relationship.

Milty-----> Supa is right (of course) but they can work you just need to decide how you feel. I moved to the US for 2.5 years after meeting a girl only ten days before I left the UK. We maintained the relationship with many expensive flights and long holidays together and of course good old webcam. That girl is now my wife and mother of my son. I can't imagine ever having got on that plane knowing I would never see her again and I nearly didn't go because of it. Living apart was sooooo incredibly difficult, at times nigh on impossible but I just wante dyou to know that it can be done. All the best, whichever route you take. I love it. It's very difficult but not impossible. If it's right its right and its worth working towards. |

She's a U.S. citizen, eh? My advice; propose to her. Get married and move with her there.
And Spats, she can't just stay somewhere if it's not for her own benefit. I doubt a good bf would want his girl to do that anyway. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

First of all, that won't solve anything except make female hearts melt because they dream of that and if she wants the relationship to work that badly than let her propose to his ass. (For one of the first times ever) She's the one moving. I am not knocking her for what she's doing. More power to her. Just saying that it shows that that is her Number 1 priority. Nothing wrong with that. Just sayin'
