What's the best antivirus program?

My brother suggested that I get Norton System Works...I really like it.

ad-aware and spybot are two pretty good ones...

Had a nasty bastard virus a while back that none of the normal programmes were able to kill or detect. Eventually downloaded Ewido, and I have never had problems since.

I can't really recommend one over the other, but I can advise that having more than 1 is not a good idea and can b a real pain.

For ongoing protection use the Zone Alarm firewall and AVG Anti-Virus programs.

Hands-down no questions asked.

Daily antivirus updates; live file monitoring and the lowest resource usage of any antivirus program available. It's literally hard to notice it running.

the rest are just shit, bar Symantec AntiVirus (totally different from Symantec Norton AntiVirus). Symantec's only available to corporations (unless you bittorrent it) though.

No it doesn't - it's actually the opposite. It's so small that you can just whack a hoover in there and it all gets sucked out very quickly. There's also the fact that because they're small you put them on the table and they gather far less dust - almost none. I've cleaned mine out once in almost 12 months now.
