do you balance your checkbook?

well do ya? I do, it's the only way I know how much I have left to spend without checking the bank every single day. I do check the bank once in a while to make sure that money I know I have spent is being debited and to see if a particular business has taken too much money out of my account without my authorization.

I ask because I know some people who don't balance their account and just spend, spend, spend, assuming that even though they know they have the money and they will know they have overdrawn when the bank notifies them either by mail or phone disbelief sorry but I can't live like that, but some people can.

I personally can sleep at night knowing how much money I have in my account by balancing my checkbook.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Nope. I haven't used a cheque book in about 10 years. I usually know roughly what the state of my bank account is, so I don't find it necessary to do any balancing other than a quick mental calculation. I use online banking so if I'm in any doubt I just log in to check my account transactions and balance.

Cheque books are for luddites. biggrin
