We've got so many nicknames for him, but his "real" name is Bastiaan. My roommate's trash--it's not my fault. I usually call him "Copter" (due to his rotating tail) or "Tubbs", because of his little belly..

Murphy does just fine with her diapers; she doesn't chew on them or anything. but man, are they expensive - over a dollar a piece! they are very much like regular baby diapers, just with a hole cut into them for the tail. i may just start punching my own hole into a Pampers...

The time's flown. That couldn't have been easy and I feel awful about it. When I was living in my other apartment a few years ago (2nd floor), my "overnight guest" closed the sliding door to the balcony. My kitty was out there enjoying the night air and I was already asleep and hadn't brought her in. A crew was painting the apartments at the time and early the next morning, a man dropped to our balcony from the roof to paint and my (very skittish anti-social) cat freaked and jumped off. I didn't realize what had happened until hours later. It took me 16 hours to locate her. I thought she was a goner (we lived on a busy six-lane expressway). Christ, I'll be a mess when it's her time to go. Boy, sorry about going off like that.
