True story...

My friend and I had moved in together in 97. Below us lived a younger gal, around 24. We would see her and she would ramble on about weird stuff and we'd just kind of look at each other like We would always humor her though. Turns out she was a drunk. She would finish one of those gallon sized Vodka bottles in 2-3 days. She drank hardcore, and there was the explanation of why should would always ramble on like a crazy woman

Well one day she came upstairs to our apartment and said that there was a guy on top of her refridgerator and if we could help her get him out. We looked at each other thinkin..... damn, she's bombed again... But we humored her and went downstairs to make her feel better. We lived in studio apartments and there was maybe about 3 feet of space between the fridge and the ceiling. One time she even told us there was someone on top of her microwave!!

So we go into the bathroom see, nobody here. The living room was empty. We go to the kitchen and, as expected, there is nobody on the fridge. Nobody in the kitchen. see! You're safe. Nobody here. If he comes back, call 9/11.... About 20 minutes later we hear police walkie talkies in our courtyard and they were chirpin and spittin out police chatter. We walk to the stairs to see what was going on and they were right below us at this girls apartment. We lean over to get a better look and the cops were bringing a man out in handcuffs from her apartment!!!!!

It was probably another neighbor she got to come into her apartment with that phony "Guy on top of my fridge" story...

Was this in the fall? You know it's finally fall when the strange men start getting into the house looking for a warm place to nest for the winter.

I had to call an exterminator one year for just that problem!
