I wondered if anyone ever bought that stuff - how is it? hmmm

I don't buy Avon, Mark or Mary Kay... I don't understand them as companies... is their stuff any good? Is it cheaper? Or is it just b/c some broad comes to your house to sell it to you? neutral Or is it mail order? confused

See the confusion??!!! wall

...no..I can't speak on Avon..but I know that Mary Kay is an independant deal..my wife actually sells it..she's not overly into it like some women, but she makes ALOT of extra money in her spare time with it...I don't understand the appeal but lots of women seek this stuff out and when they find a provider they are usually long term customers...kinda like crack I guess... smile

Mary Kay is EXPENSIVE! omfg My sister-in-law buys that shit, and I honestly don't understand it. Makeup is makeup, it all does the same thing. I just can't justify spending $10 on a tube of lipstick, when I can go to a discount drug store and get it much cheaper. But then again, my sister-in-law loves expensive shit anyway. confused

OMG and fuck.. I used to love Avon as a teenager!

An (older) friend of the family (an employee) I used to look up to sold avon cosmetics in her spare time, so I would always dig into the catalogue and buy things.

Funnily enough, I bought some sparkle loose powder eyeshadows, maybe 20 yrs ago or more, which have not gone off or smell, and they are mightily similar to the Urban Decay products on sale now.

I used to mix my brands.. (still do) so I used to buy Avon, Almay, Rimmel and someother unknown brand then..

Nowadays I use Clinique, Mac and the good old Rimmel make up..

thumbs up!

Avon moisturiser is very, very good. Their under-eye cream is as good as Roc - and slightly cheaper.

But overall, it is quite expensive.

My mom used to buy both fairly often. She used to always get me Avon's Skin So Soft collection and lip gloss. Skin So Soft used to smell like baby oil cloud9, and it did wonders for my dry skin. Avon catered to both women and girl's, so everytime she'd order something from there, she'd get me something too. I haven't had it in years.

AVON is my crack drug of choice!!!!! They ALWAYS have a clearence book and I load up!!!! Plus my co-worker is great and she always cuts me 10% off the top for being such a good customer!!! AVON has com along way in terms of quality and variety!!!!

Mary Kay is too pricey for me and it does not do well on most African American skin.

I just got invited to a Mary Kay pedicure party. biggrin

My friend is having one because her boyfriend has a thing for feet, not quite a fetish mind you, but he LIKES feet.He travels a lot and he's coming to see her Saturday.

Free pedicure, you bet I'm going. nod

I never tried Mary Kay products before but I buy Avon products once in a while.
