Today I turned in my very first thesis statement and this is what my college writing professor said:

This looks good. Remember, it may change as you develop your draft. Keep up the good work. This is an interesting topic and I look forward to reading your draft.

I get to skip my next assignment as it was revising my thesis. This feels so good!!!

Congratulations on a great first week! I do agree with Mayor Daley's veto though. It wont matter how much the big box stores are paying if they decided to leave the city all together. People in those neighborhoods need jobs and decent places to shop. If the ordinance was passed, they probably would disinvest in the city and just move elsewhere. You cant raise a family on $10 or $13 an hour either. Mayor Daley is a great mayor, all bs aside. Chicagoans should know that they have a good thing.
