OH... MY... LAWD! Project Runway Thursday Watercooler chat with DRAMA

okay, i have to say i HATED that little shenanigan. it was wrong to bring back angela and vincent and give them another shot. i mean, it is so unfair to the other 5 to have to work sooo hard to get this far and then suddenly be at risk to lose big time when they suddenly change the rules and take THREE out instead of one.

but, thank god, it worked out EXACTLY as it should have anyway.

hold on to your fluerchons and tara reid's jet-setting boobies, cause here we go...

LOVED it! gorgeous and sleek, but young and a step away from the usual laura style. i was cringing during the breakdown, fearing that her pregnancy hormones had gottent he better of her and that she was going home. then i saw the dress, and knew she had won. VERY josephine baker, like she pointed out. and FINALLY - a very much deserved win for the woman who i think has been overlooked too many times to count in this season.

loved the front, hated the back. when they specifically said black AND white, not either or, and he didn't even do white save a ribbon, i knew he was done. i am a little sad though, i really thought he deserved to stay and jeffrey to go home...

...for this atrocity. i HATED it. she looked like a polka-dotted hooker. but here's the thing. between the two, who would you rather see a collection from, jeffrey or kanye? myself, i would be more interested in seeing what jeffrey has. as difficult as he makes it to like him as a person, he does interesting design.

ummm... okay. the collar looks like it was covered in cream cheese. and speaking of cheese...

oh, uli. right back to the prints after only one week?i didn't like it. it's a pretty print, but the dress is just... odd.

oh, michael, how i adore you. just heavenly design.

oh, vincent. how i adore not ever having to endure you again. boring, boring, awful.

so... i am now betting michael, laura, and jeffrey for the final 3. all 4 will be showing at fashion week TOMORROW! i had originally said i would post a special thread with numerous disclaimers with pics of the collections of the final 4, and i will still do so. look for it tomorrow night IF AND ONLY IF you want to see the collections before the final episode. I will CLEARLY mark it as being from the show, so if you don't want to know, DO NOT OPEN THAT THREAD!!

your thoughts?

At first glance I liked Uli's dress. It reminded me of something NDea Davenport wore in the "Never Stop" video. But once the judges picked it apart (and picked her apart, lol) it's flaws became more apparent.

Laura's meltdown was kind of funny because it was obviously her hormones getting the best of her. She'll probabbly be able to look back at that footage and laugh.

Bringing Angela and Vincent back was odd, how did they decide them two over all the other contestants that left the show? Were they the only two that won out of all the people that left the show so far? It's kind of funny watching them both get eliminated for a second time. It was kind of like saying "No, you REALLY suck." smile

I'm glad Kayne got eliminated, especially after seeing his remarks when they brought the Angela and Vincent back. Calling people cockroaches and heifers and crap. LOL, even Uli started to get some of her cat claws out over that, they showed her making some cracks about Angela.

I like most things Uli does. Michael definitely had my favorite.... And I can't figure out WTF Jeffrey is thinking. First of all, I think he's a prick. But that aside, I can't stand anything he designs!
This one's for you.

agree about uli's dress. i had a like it first reaction till i looked at it more. didn't seem like a cocktail dress at all, either, which was the point of the challenge.
totally agree about laura, the bringback, and kanye. i liked him in the beginning, and then at some point he turned into a savage little bitch, and kind of lost me.

the only 3 people who have been eliminated who have won a challenge were angela (INC challenge), Keith (first challenge with materials from the apartments) , and vincent (ya moms challenge), and Keith wasn't going to be brought back, since he was disqualified with the whole pattern book fiasco.

i have liked uli's stuff a LOT in the past, but I didn't like last night's and she has gotten way redundant. I am pretty sure it is going to keep her from the final 3.

and i HATE jeffrey. he is a prick with the most ridiculously bloated ego. i have liked some of what he has designed, just not the last 3.

i wish you could see the detailing in that belt better, it was gorgeous. he cut out flower shapes in the belt so they came through white because of the dress behind it, and then sewed the cut out shapes back on in flower shapes, so you had this triple layer effect with white and black flowers. G E N I U S way of using all of the material, as they were required to do

Ok...I missed most of last night because I was at school, but wow...the only two good designs were Laura's and Michael's. I really loved what Uli was doing in the beginning, but it's THE SAME DRESS from challenge to challenge! The cut is almost identical on everything she does...just the fabric changes...and Jeffery should have been out. He's come up with a few good things, but mostly it's crap and his attitude sucks.

Jeffrey, Laura and Uli each have their own little niches, and it's like pulling teeth to get them to do something more diverse. Micheal doesn't seem so limited with his work, his outfits have been pretty varied from the get go, so that might help him win the whole competition.

I almost spit up my drink when they showed the judges mocking Uli, LOL. They were saying stuff like "I live in miami and go out with my fabulous friends to party..." type stuff.

I'm a bit resentful about having to sit through two goodbye speeches from both Angela and Vincent, LOL.

i totalyl agree. michael seems like a sure win, but then PR tends to suprise. Kara Saun seemed like a sure win in season 1, and jay won, daniel v seemed like a sure thing for season 2, and chloe won.

I love that Laura called Angela on her shit w/ that INC challenge - she didn't want to acknowledge that it was INDEED a group challenge. They saved her from making a mess of the whole thing! Very odd bringing those 2 back only to boot them again swiftly evillol

nod angela really owes that, her only win, to laura and michael who kept her from going her normal route on it.

Last night's show was classic! thumbs up!

i was laughing my ass off at Kanye after he was kicked off. He was wearing that shirt that had Camp (something) written on it and all i could think about is that time he knew he made a bad dress and said "if i'm eliminated i won't be a happy camper" falloff i also couldn't stand his fucking accent! mad i just couldn't stand him PERIOD!! mad

anyways, i thought Michael should've won, but i was happy to see Laura win 'cuz i was feeling for her after the meltdown. lol

i almost fell on the floor when they made Angela open her bag!! falloff she really thought she was slick, didn't she? she got cold busted!!

i'm thinking Laura and Michael will definetly be at fashion week, it's a toss up between Uli and Jeffery.

Loved the show!!

I liked Michael's outfit. Jeffrey's was tooooo LOVESEXY 1988. I really loved Laura's outfit.

I hated when Vincent said something about being so good at what he does. Yeah, that's why he was eliminated twice.

The guest designer was soooo cute. Curly hair drives me nuts.

Great friggin' episode last night!

-There's a small part of me that always roots 4 the underdawg and wanted Angela 2 win and Jeffery 2 get kicked off right before she takes a pair of scissors and makes a b-line 4 his nuts. I knew this would never happen, but U gotta admit it woulda been poetic justice at it's finest.

-Bringing back Angela and Vincent was a stroke of bloody genius. Way 2 pull the carpet right out from under the people still in the running.

-We knew Kayne was going. He showed he has the ability 2 tone it down and still not listen 2 Tim Gunn. It was 2 little 2 late. We can only hope he gets piss drunk at the reunion show and gives us some great TV.

-Love Michael. LOVE. He deserves 2 win.

-Jeffery's outfit literally made his model look like the type of low-end street walker that U could actually pay with a handful of sweaty pocket change.

-Laura finally won and all is right with the universe.

-Guest judge: Get busy with a flat iron and call me.

yea, true. it would have been awesome to see jeffrey out and angela in, but holly hobby really is not very good at designing the kind of stuff they want.

I never realized it, but now that you mentioned it, Jeffrey's WAS totally Lovesexy! I kept wondering why his outfit looked familiar for some reason. I wonder if he's a Prince fan.

They need to pair Vincent up with Paris Hilton - "Thats Hot!", "This gets me off!", "That's Hot!", "This is really getting me off!"...

Haha!! Oh my God. I can just picture Paris and Vincent just staring off into space while the sound of crickets are heard in the background.

They should have some of the previous losers from this season come back and be a guest judge. That would really freak the remaining contestants out.
