I recently moved out of my apartment and on the cleaning checklist it said that I needed to wash the windows inside and out. I thought this was odd since it would have been impossible for anyone not on the ground floor but I did it anyway. The windows clearly had never been washed and there was a ground in film that basically smeared more then came clean. I think they looked worse after then they did before. I ended up using soap and a bucket.

The funny thing is the manager walked in for about a minute and was absolutely thrilled with how clean it was she never even walked around to admire my handiwork. She told me most people leave the apartments a disaster.

I've lived in about 7 different apartments and I don't ever remember my windows being washed by the landlords while living in them.

OK! Ok! I get it! My hopes and dreams were entirely unreasonable, and I need to accept that the skyline will continue to look sorta smeary/grainy! bawl
