Have you ever met anyone famous?

I met KC and Jojo (no big honor) in Japan at McDonalds. I didn't even know it was them until I went to the concert with my girlfriend the next night.

I also met Donald Rumsfeld, he is a few inches taller than Prince.

So what's your story

I grew up in Malibu, also I worked at a movie theater in Westwood where they did a lot of premieres, so I've met a lot.

I guess some of the biggest I've talked to were:

Tom Cruise
Roy Orbison
Jimmy Conners
Bill Murray
Pierce Brosnan
Eddie Van Halen
Rick Springfield
Brian Wilson
Melanie Griffith

seen:

Sting
Stallone
Schwarzenegger
Miles Davis
Prince
Madonna
Cher
Dustin Hoffman
George Michael

I should clarify, I actually met and talked to these people. I've seen lots of other famous folk just walking down the street and not say anything to them.

Too many to even mention....Living in Los Angeles and being plugged in so-to-speak got me in many places and seen many faces of whom I have met and not met. They are all just people. I have smoked and drank with people from the hood to Congressmen....Go Figure...we are all human beings first.

Early on in my career I was lucky 2 meet a lot of celebrities, but my favorite story was when I wasn't working. I was in a wrekka stow and bumped (literally) in2 Demi Moore. I had heard that she was kind of very not nice, so I was nervous that I accidentally disturbed her.

Hands down the nicest celebrity I've ever met. Personable, friendly and sweet. She gave me an autograph, which now hangs framed in my office.

TMPletz

A few from the NPG back in the mid 90s: Sonny, Tommy, Mayte, Prince (although we didn't have a conversation). A lot of Star Trek people: William Shatner, George Takei, Majel Barrett Roddenberry, and many others from the other series of shows.

Can't think of any others right now.

Actually I was kind of friends w/ Roy Jr. (he was my best friend's neighbor). So I net him as someone's dad, and I didn't ever ask him about music, though I would have liked to. This was in the 80's when Roy was recording with Elvis Costello, Bono & the Wilburys, and I'm a musician. You can imagine how hard it was to restrain myself.

He had a guitar sitting on the couch in the living room, and my friend picked it up and pretended to rock out. Roy Jr. says "That's a $50,000 guitar." My friend kissed it and layed it back down carefully.

I smoked a joint with George Clinton years ago before one of his shows, he just happened to walk by after I lit up....he joined.

I drank some beers with Stephen Malkmus (ex-Pavement frontman) after his first solo-gig in Amsterdam.

Also drank beers with Paul Weller after one of his shows.

I shouted a holler at Mike D from the Beastie Boys before their show in Amsterdam, he flipped me the bird woot!

Pink was once sitting next to me in the Supperclub (a then ultra-hip restaurant/lounge in Amsterdam), we chatted, she was stoned....I'd do her, funny enough. hmm

I was sitting with Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta Jones on the same terrace in Mallorca, Spain last summer.

I shook Michael Schumacher's hand, we talked german...

I saw the pope last weekend in Munich, he was 30 ft. away from me.....I kid you not!

This reminds me. The Dalai (or "Dolly," as our office manager scheduled it) Lama once spoke at UCLA, and I had a job in the building. Security was really tight.

I had something to do that was unrelated, but took the employee elevator and the doors opened just as he & ten security guys walked by, startling them. I said "hi," he smiled & nodded.

I was close enough to punch him--great security!
