Should I get a vasectomy?

The wife has been talking about me "taking a bit off the top" if you will and the whole thing has me scared silly. Am I ready to render my potency null and void at the tender age of 34? Do I want to walk around like my beloved neutered lab/sheltie mix does, all destitute and devoid of purpose? And why in hell would I want someone wielding a scalpel down there in the first place.

As valid as her arguments are (mainly "I ain't doing it!") I just question this whole process. Anyone been through it? Am I worried for nothing? Or is it every bit the hell I envision in my mind's eye?

Okay a bit off the bottom then.

Well, my ex-husband went in for this procedure after our second child and it was pretty painless, I guess. They didn't cut, they used a punch to do it - ten minute procedure. He said it was a slight discomfort. He did have some minor swelling but the ice pack took that down.

Yes, you should. Permanent birth control is simple and safe for you, and it's a major deal for her. Step the fuck up. thumbs up!

Honestly, the procedure is no big deal.

seriously, it will be healthier for her to be off b/c pills, and more enjoyable then wearing a prophylactic.

compared to what your wife would have to endure, a vasectomy is the saner easier route. Are you done with kids? If so, shooting blanks shouldn't bother you. You could store your sperm for future use if you're that concerned.....

Do they have an "at home" kit or something. I trust myself more when it comes to things like this.

I don't want to scare you but I heard someone say it was the most painful thing they'd ever experienced. boxed

There again, it was Richard Madeley (a UK tv presenter). So it could be a load of bollocks. lol

Read a story about someone who had it done .
Eventually divorced and found a new love who wanted kids .
A reversed process is much more complicated and there's a bigger risk that it won't work again like before .

Men who have families are stupid for starting another one with younger chicks. Don't listen to this shit. Those women need to find fresh men, not ones who are going through midlife crisises and knocking up young chicks to feel alive again. Don't do dumb shit.
