I love a good stain remover,I'll try it
I use this stuff called Mean Green in the kitchen and bathroom. It removes all kinds of stains, even old ones. "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood...NOBODY!"

What "stains"? | |

I once had to get rid of a tumeric stain on a white anorak.
Firstly, I made a really mild solution of bleach, by adding about a teaspoon of bleach to half a teacup of tepid water. I just poured this directly onto the stain and covered with salt. I left the bleach solution and salt to dry for a couple of hours. Then I made my own stain remover by making the following in an egg-cup... 2 teaspoons of laundry detergent powder 2 teaspoons of white sugar 1 teaspoon of salt 1 splodge of dishwashing liquid - about the size of a penny Added lemon juice until it became a paste I then applied the paste onto the stain and let it dry again. Once the gloop was nearly dry (it didn't have to be bone-dry) I put the anorak into my washing machine with my regular laundery detergent. You can only really do this on white garments though.

I use rubbish stain removers generally, not tried that one, but I have this white cotton shirt with a little stain on it, dont know what it is but its brown! But the shirt has a check pattern, in blue thread sewn on top of the fabric, if that makes sense, so I didnt weant to use anything too strong on it because it would take the colour out. My last option is bleach, but thatll wreck the colour. Should I just bite the bullet and buy this oxi clean stuff?

I was carrying a takeout home and I think I held the bag up to my chest when unlocking my door. I guess the bag had leaked or something. Tumeric is probably the worst stain there is. It's just like clothes dye.

I always forget to pick up some stain remover when I go to the store, but I've had a can of carpet stain remover in my closet for a while now, and that stuff actually works great for taking stains out of clothes (as well as you couch if you spill something on it).

![]() Oh aye, that stuff's brill! I normally dump a couple of spoonfuls in with my detergent powder. It works a treat on whites. Proper grand Have you ever tried Vanish Oxi?
That's very good too, possibly on a par with Oxi Clean. However, the extra trickity trick with this product is (for really tough stubborn stains), you can concoct up a little magic foam pre-wash treatment with a scoop full of the powder, hot water, a stick! (doesn't have to be a stick, any other instrument appropriate for stirring will suffice the same The blend of the above stated parts (by the laws of witchcraft or wizardry or somthing or other) will just supernaturally expand and transform from a watery liquid state to an aqueous foam matter! Apply the mixture quickly to the soiled/stained garment before the oxygen bubbles escape and allow to soak for 10-15 minutes. There's no need for all this "rubbing the solution into the stain" business! You just let those cute little science bubbles to the work Anyways, it's also available in those squirt guns bottles as well
