I love that part of the UK, we go to Gower a lot (I like to think I can surf there ) Often think about buying a little pad down by Llangennith, that beach is amazing the way the land just rolls into the sea.

Nice pics, love. It was such a lovely day. As you can see, the weather was beautiful and the company was splendid. The Gower truly is one of my favourite parts of the world. That's my official retirement home (if I can ever afford it).

wendyrachel - where exactly are you from? And where do you live now? I told Natisse about the infamous 'Mumbles Mile'. (For those who don't know, it's a stretch of coastline, with about 40 pubs, that a lot of stag/hen nights attempt). I've been there once or twice. I've had a lot of great nights out in Swansea - you probably know Wyne Street/the Kingsway very well.

mattj - would HIGHLY recommend the Gower/Mumbles area. Absolutely beautiful, especially this time of year. Very chilled, very relaxed. If I could afford it, I'd definitely live there.

Justin - Have you ever visited? I don't speak Welsh either. It's not a preresquisite.

TheSpivHead - of course! Along with Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta Jones. (Her and Michael Douglas own a house just around the corner, actually ).

Hey there! _ I was brought up in a town called Treherbert in the Rhondda Valleys- about an hour or so from Swansea. I lived there from the age of 2 until about 5-6 years ago when I went abroad to work then when I came back I moved to the Wirral where my dad had moved and made a new life for myself here!
I love Wales - but dont get back there as much as Id like to now

used to go to Swansea quite regularly with the girls - dont ask me the name of the pubs and niteclubs I used to go to - I cant for the life remember - But I do remember the niteclub called 'Escape' - Is it still there?????

yes definately - I will let you know! Cardiff is one of my favorite places in the whole world - I have some hilarious memories of being out in Cardiff drinking loads of double vodka and red bulls then heading down to Zeus niteclub...good times
