I sound like people on American TV - I have what I consider to be a lack of an accent. I don't think I'm particularly whiny or anything, and the only comment others usually make is that I have a nice voice. shrug Which means nothing to me because I pretty much sound like everyone. lol Normal.

I was just making a stupid joke about myself pretending to speak like someone from England.

Sometimes I think that if a young person in the US speaks in complete sentences, older people think they must be from somewhere else.

I don't have a very Australian accent. There is a touch of Australian here and there...my voice is often described as a strong one- that's cause i tend to talk from my diaphragm, a habit from the skills i learnt at singing classes i think! Mine is melodic and at a medium kinda range at most timez- some people can recognise i have an Anglo-Indian accent...some people think i sound English or to the next extreme South American falloff i only ever go highpitch when i'm in an especially good mood. lol

My accent is not very classically Australian either. Born in Scotland, raised early on in England, then in Australia by English parents... spent a number of years in America and had an American girlfriend for almost a decade... people say (well I say, really) I kind of have my own accent too, Missy.
