I've just halved my house and contents insurance by shopping around!

a FANTASTIC weekend... hearing from my best friend and her telling me some good news... and making the decision that I'm going to make Sydney home again when I go back to Australia in April

Seeing Willie Nelson at the Hollywood Bowl Sunday evening and reading, in one sitting, his fun little ditty "The Tao of Willie," last night.

That's about it...the rest of the time I've just been content with it all.

I fixed my electric razor without having to send it in!

I've been feeling like my opinion hasn't been valued much in my band (by one person in particular).

The other singer won't learn the songs I want to do, but I've learned every song he wants to do, even if I don't like them.

Last night as we were doing one of the two or so songs I picked out, someone who watches us play very often said "that's the best fucking song you do!"

That I kept the promise that I made with myself which was going to the gym and eat more healthy

1. It's a bit overcast today and I'm loving it. I feel completely re-energized when I get a break from the sweltering sun day in and day out.

2. I've got a really big job interview on Monday that could change the course of my life. The phone interview was nothing but positive, and I feel no pressure.

3. I've lost sixty-five pounds since April. I've hit a plateau, but feel great and can actually buy clothing in regular stores with my friends. When I think about it too long, I actually cry! What time I've wasted!

It's really bigger than it looks to anyone else--and the side effects are painful and invigorating. I don't think I'll ever get used to attention from the opposite sex (or the same damn sex!), and it's still scary, lame as it sounds. And big pieces of my life are disappearing and appearing, like a big puzzle shifting around. Friends and things. Now that I'm getting a bit more friendly confidence, people whom I once considered family aren't close anymore. I don't have to buy acquaintances with material things, money, and my old pushover-demeanor. Life's gaining quality and clarity ll over the place. It hurts good.
