From where I've come from to where I'm at now, I've established a great deal of money that changed my life in a personal way.

When you have what you need, you're less likely to be bitter or angry.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

and in return that relaxation would bring about a change.

I think I'd be more fun. lol

Mostly 'cause I'd just be free of a certain set of worries. . . I'd love to know for sure that I could take care of my bills and not have to be in debt. I'm extremely broke, currently, and not living within my means at all. . . it's bad. And there's this dread attached to that. I'd like to be rid of it. And on top of that, I'd like to be able to help out my friends and family in this department.

I know that having tends to come with a fear of losing, though, so would it really be better? I don't know.

Bullshit.. I was waiting for an answer like that tease

For instance, I would still LOVE to work - I have to keep those grey cells on their lil conveyer belt.. otherwise I will become useless, but if I missed my bus, I would take a taxci or be chauffeured to work

I will go to the gym.. but with money, I can afford to go when ever I can

When I go out with friends, I will stay out later and get a taxi home rather than the last train, and if so, get my friends all taxis home.
These tiny lil things I have mentioned, will change my life.. and why? Cos of money nod

Oh and I will change to broadbamd instead of fucking slow fucking shit dial up too.. wink

i'd like to think life wouldn't change much for me. i'm not into huge houses, fancy cars or loads of jewelry. but it would be nice to be able to give more to charity, maybe start a foundation! nod

Well yes, but it WOULD change..

I hate when ppl say my life wont change if I won the lottery and I do respect those who give their winnings to charity etc... so do not enjoy the monetary winnings..

but surely MOST of us, will take advantage of that.

and this thread isnt about if you won a million dollars what would you buy? a mansion with swimming pool.. 20 cars, a nightclub, etc etc.. its more about realistically handling money no matter how MUCH (which isnt noted) you win/gain..

Its the little aspects that may change oneself..

I mean I can imagine you.. not changing per se

but you just buy crates of vodka instead of the odd bottle (*).. you may donate more to PETA or use the money wisely to gain more awareness of cruelty to animals etc etc..

but for me.. I expect you will still work.. esp on what you are passionate for.. but maybe just party a lil more too.. wink martini

I'd like to be able to give more of my TIME to charity, even more than money. I'd absolutely love that.

And yeah, for me as well, it'd be about comfort, for myself and my loved ones. And comfort counts for something.

I would have a house, though. Not a huge fancy thing, but a home I really like. I'd keep my same car, but I'd get it into perfect shape. Jewelry. . . I'd like a cool watch and some diamond studs. And other stuff. A nice glass of wine with dinner whenever I felt like it, pedicures, that kind of thing. I'd love to buy a kayak right now. I want to travel. I mean, it's not like I wanna live like Beyonce or anything. . . my taste isn't outrageous. . .but I could still spend a ton of $ really easily.

And it would be fun. smile

That said, I'd really be quite pleased to just be able to pay all of my bills without stress.

lol i'm not sure that i could drink a whole lot more without ending up in the emergency room! wink

seriously, i just don't value money all that much. shrug sure, you wouldn't have to worry as much about bills, travel more, etc., but ultimately, what does money really get you? (you in general, not you personally, Red) i've met too many rich people who are miserable to put a lot of stock into money, whether won or even earned.

Well I'd be a lot more comfortable materially and I would finally get my music career off the ground with a huge mighty push instead of the trickles here and there it is having at the moment... not that I'm complaining because wonderful things are starting to happen... but beyond my own personal well-being I would definitely contribute all I could to help others. Definitely.

And if it was REALLY a lot of money, that would include getting you lot off your arses and out in the fresh air more often - I'm talking flying you over to my mansion on a Lear Jet or six so we could all party it up... well some of you nicer ones could, anyway.

peace

But maybe that is cos they didnt appreciate it from the beginning?

I have an example, but too ashamed to post it..

but there are some celebs.. even who continue with their jobs and dont let fame or money adjust their ways.

For instance if I won a huge amount, I wouldnt like to spend it all in one go.. I would be cautious.. and maybe would find that really I am not that rich once I have shared it out amongst the ppl and charities I want to give it to.

Again, I reiterate, i would continue working..

I have been non working, and its not about shopping, going for coffees or champagne with friends, that will dull your brain until you become instantaneously comatose - I would have to keep working and using MY abilities to help achieve something(s) in life.. well thats how I see it anyway

I think it depends on how I got the money. If I earned it myself, I'd probably have made a bunch of sensible plans while earning it so I'd be ready to go with those. If I inherited it, I'd probably feel a great responsibility to do something with it that the donor would have wanted. If I won the lottery, I'd probably think of it as bizarre and unreal money that I could use to light cigarettes or maybe rent Prince for a private concert or something. smile

Edit: I guess I should answer the actual question too. doh! I wouldn't change as a person per se, but depending on the situation as described above, I think the money would bring out different characteristics in me that were already there, but that would be more emphasized.

I think it would change me a lot, in a lot of ways.

I would be a lot more generous with causes I believe in and would take care of my extended family. I would travel a lot, invest some, start a business, and live a very comfortable life.

I think that I would be very leery about meeting new people and not very trusting of people around me that I did not know very well. So I suppose being filthy rich isn't all good.

Because it wouldn't make me think I was suddenly better or more powerfull than other people. And the way I view things wouldn't change. It would just change the amount of things I could go out and buy. razz

Then again, going to a party brings out my lighthearted side, going to a library brings out my serious side etc, so it's not like getting money is an event with any kind of special status. shrug
