I usually do a buttered, lightly salted popcorn, a Coke and some form of chocolate (ideally those chocolate-covered ice cream balls ).

Back in Cleveland, there's at least one artsy theatre where you can get gourmet sandwiches and wine or beer. If I visit a place like that, sometimes I get bourgeois and have a merlot or something.

...As far as sneaking... I assert my Fifth Amendment right.

Oh, I always make one of the kids wear their backpack to the movie theater so I can sneak in all kinds of food. The older one gets embarrassed, because she's such a goody-goody.

I stock that mutha with peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches, juice boxes, granola bars, sometimes even some homemade veggie burritos if I'm really hungry. Oh, and I usually pop some microwave popcorn and put it in little Ziploc baggies.

When I was little my oldest sister would pop popcorn and put it in one of those BIG paper grocery bags and sneak it in under her coat

Back in the day I would sneak in candy and 20 oz. sodas that I bought from Walgreens or the supermarket, but I do remember bringing in a McDonald's value meal at one time. These days, though, I generally do not bring in anything nor do I buy any food from the concession stand. I just pay for my movie, watch it, and then leave.

my dad used to go to a restaurant called 'maxwell street' polishes and buy greasy burgers and sneak them in. but outta pure laziness, i rarely sneak anything in, but what funkmistress said sounds like a pretty good idea the boys wouldn't mind
