Mac N Cheese/Hamburger Helper/Top Ramen? What do these things have in common,,,, outside of being the last things in my pantry ( I gotta do some grocery shopping soon) I consider them a staple of any single red blooded bachelor male. I swear everyone of my single male friends has one of these three concoctions inside of their home!! Admit it if you do or know someone who does! Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

I'm married and we often have 2 out of the 3 on our shelf.
We don't wait until they are the last things to eat however. Sometimes you need something quick and easy to cover a meal. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.

they are noodles yes. They are american Products. Hamberger Helper is this package of noodles with powered sauce that you add to a pound of ground beef and then bake for a stroganoff type meal with noodles. Top Ramen is like a cup of soup or package. They are like low-main noodles with flavor packet. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.

After freshmen and sophomore year, I shouldn't wanna see Ramen noodles anymore, but I have some in the kitchen right now. I used to eat Mac N Cheese a lot as a kid, but I haven't had it since. My aunt used to add real shredded cheese along with the powdered cheese to hers, and that made it taste a hell of a lot better. I was really put off by Easy Mac though. I mean anything that you just add water to and microwave can't be all that great I haven't had Hamburger Helper in ages either. My mom used to cook the beef Stroganoff one a lot. I use them but not the soupy way. I pour boiling water over them in a big bwl and let them reconstitute into soft cooked noodles while I'm out doing errands. Then I come home and stir fry them w/ half the seasoning packet in a little oil with scallions, ginger, a little sliced chicken or beef, and scrambled egg, and cilantro. For an extra twist to make it all jiggy, sometimes I add sesame or peanut (either the oil or the seed nuts), or sliced thai chilis. Probably the ingredient that makes the biggest difference is the cilantro...elevates a 35cent noodle packet into "cueee-sine" | |

Packs of 6 are about 60 cents here. That's why with a little bit of invention, as you showed above, these can be used to make some cheap but very decent meals.

Am I the only one who still eats Chef Boyardee?

I had Chef Boyardee last night  This is another cheap staple. I used to like all kinds of Chef Boyardee as a child, but now I can only tolerate the spaghetti and meatballs. I've always liked those little meatballs. People must've complained about the meatball count or something, because I've noticed that there are a hell of a lot more meatballs in there than it was when I ate this stuff years ago. And I totally forgot about Betty Crocker Warm Delights
I said earlier that any packaged food you add water too and microwave can't be good, but I completely forgot about these Betty Crocker cakes. You should try the Molten Chocolate Cake or the Cinnamon Cake.
