i almost had a coronary though, when both michael and laura were in the bottom, and it came down to laura and vincent. i threw the pillow i was holding down and was screeching at the tv, pleading with god.

okay, here we go...

i hate hate HATED jeffrey's dress. how the hell did it win? i thought it was awful. it loked like he had draped her in a big yellow sheet that you would find in a college doorm somewhere. and seriously, can the man not shut the fuck up about angela and her mom?!?! when he started ragging angela again, even though she was now offically gone, i just wanted to hit him. i mean, he totally instigated the whole angela thing and then refused to shut up about it every week since. grow the fuck up already. she didnt even do anything to you. i really really hate him more and more each week.

and speaking of overworked sayings, i cringed both times vincent said "it really turns me on", which he had been doing endlessly for the last few weeks. dude was creepy as shit, and thinking about him being turned on just made it worse. bleh... hated his dress too.

uli, again, passed over when she should have won. i didnt love the dress, but i thought it best encompassed this very very difficult challenge, and was far prettier to me than jeffrey's butterscotch plaid explosion. and kudos for avoiding the prints and crazy colors.

kayne... meh. loved the skirt, hated the top. still over caring about him.

michael had me S W E A T I N G bullets when they were trashing his dress, which admittedly was not great, but once they pushed the bust in, it was pretty nice! just glad to see him move on to the next level.

laura. good lord, i was terrified when it came down to her and vincent. i liked the dress. a little boring? sure, but very classy. the preview really makes me fearful that she might not make it into the top 3, as i have been predicting. but then, the trailers are deliberately mis-edited to make you suspect one thing, while another actually happens. and tim gunn is really defending her dress on his blog... "Was I the only one who responded positively to it? I thought her black dress with the exuberant white collar and cuff treatment looked great" I agree.

i laughed at the sign laura had up at her station that said "caution: fleurchons under construction"... cute.

so, uli back in my probably 3, along with michael and now a somewhat shakey laura as number 3. it's really unfortunate that her pregnancy is timed to the end of the show, which is clearly putting a big strain on her, and i am sure what motivates that little breakdown we glimpse in the trailer for next week. i hope it doesnt cost her the top 3.

your thoughts?

nod

i was beginning to worry he was marked by the curse of wendy pepper, that he, like she, would be a talentless idiot who managed to make it to the final 3.

I can see WHY they liked Jeffrey's dress (they did say push the boundaries!) but I too think Uli should have won this one!! biggrin Her dress was fantastic, but Jeffrey's was fun...

Michael can't be so ambitious next time, dude almost went home!! shake And it did look better w/ the cups tucked under BUT had he sent her out like that they probably would have accused him of doing something they'd seen 50 times before, it was a no-win for him this week... and Richard Tyler said the egg thing was no excuse - that's some cold shit!! He wasn't making excuses, he was just explaining what the big fucking stain @ the bottom of the dress was!! mad FUCK Richard Tyler, his shoes are uncomfortable hmph! bitchfight

Laura's dress was boring to me, she needs to break OUT & stop being so damn safe w/ her colors!! mad And that collar was just not exciting enough, maybe it should have been even bigger? I dunno, I was scared for her. And her stomach is HUGE since her announcement!! omfg

Vincent, he's such a fucking nutball comfort I hate that he took such a huge risk to do the show but I hope it ends up being worth it for him somehow... & that his wife doesn't leave his crazy ass eek "It got me off!" ill lol

And Kayne's tacky TACKY ass... I actually didn't have a huge problem with his dress - the bottom is wonderful & flowy, the velvet straps are cute as shit, but had he just simplified the top & gone w/ "classic" instead of gaudy sigh Even Liberace took his rings off @ night man! lol

Great episode this week! biggrin

I liked Jeffrey's dress, the shape of it was really interesting. I could even live with the bright yellow color. The plaid kind of ruined it though.

Laura's was a mess. It looked like something from Interview With A Vampire.

Kayne's gotta go. He did another drag pageant gown. Whats with all the boustia's?

Micheals just looked poorly made.

Uli's was nice. It was still another Uli Dress - minus a pattern - but it still came off looking good.

Okay, first and foremost, thanks be to God for having Vincent be next out. My faith is restored.

Laura's dress.....yawn. And she was supposedly 3 months during that part of the shoot? Hello! SHOWING BIG TIME

Okee, Uli got away from prints--and her dress was beautiful. I still love Michael, even if he didn't know what he was doing there.

Jeffrey is an ass because he can be, because he knows it digs at his opponents' thought processes, and it makes good tv. I can't believe I am saying this, but I liked his dress. It was funky and colorful and everything I have seen lately with some couture is clothing I don't understand---and I didn't understand his dress, so that worked for me.

Kayne--girl, pack your stuff, honey.

good critiques on the dresses Borgie, but which one would you wear, for the next time you and Parker get together?

of those from last night? probably lauras, because it has that fear element in the collar, kind of like those dinosaurs in jurassic park that had the hoods on their neck that would snap up to make it look bigger and scarier. whenever parker would start to jab, i would flip that colar up and hiss like the dinos in the movie do

-I'm going against the grain here...I thought Kayne's dress was gorgeous.

-I liked Uli's dress. I also liked it the 5 other times she made it.

-Jeffrey's dress: Large, yellow, plaid, wadded up dinner napkin. Some1 please stage an intervention with judges 2 ween them off the crack pipe.

-Michael had 2 get one bad one out of his system. Better that it happened now rather than before he had a chance 2 prove how talented he is otherwise.

-I think Laura's only problem is she is so set in her style that she has a hard time veering away from it. I really want her 2 b in the final 3.

-Goodbye Captain Crazy Hat! and I totally agree about the creepiness of his use of the term "Turns me on". By the 3rd time he said it last night, I automatically got my virginity back.

-I don't want Kayne 2 go! But I've accepted that he's next in line.

i hated jeffrey's dress. i dont understand what others are seeing in it, but i guess to each their own.

it's been entertaining the shit out of me. i used to watch her show religiously. it just makes me happy, i dont know why. i really hopes she brings the "superkid" thing from her old show to the view. i used to cry my eyes out during those.

the best one was the first "superkid" segment she did after 9-11. this girl was raising her younger sister, working a job, and finishing high school after the mother died, just heartbreaking to begin with. and after the touching video, rosie, as she always did, pulls out the big prizes for this lovely selfless girl. kelloggs, who almost always sponsored the superkids for a complete college education, was goign to pay for her college, and the grl smiles and says to rosie "that's really sweet, but can you give the money to the 9-11 fund instead? i have two arms and two legs, i can work my way through college"

i freaking lost it. so touching. so rosie, who was also extremely choked up, says 'no, keep the college, and i will meet and double the expenses and donate it to the 9-11 fund instead.'

those were my favorite part of the old show.

What exactly was the assignment?

I missed the episode, but looking at these, I kinda like everyone's except for Laura's and Jeffrey's (and the bustline of Michael's). I think I also like Uli's best.
