What's your Org age? This month I've had the internet at home for 10 years.
I've calculated that I've spent approximately 7,300 hours on the Org and Prince-related sites (Hammers etc) and approximately the same amount of time on other sites. That's nearly a year spent on the Org alone! My calculations are based on 2 hours/day on the Org (taking into account my obsessive earlier years of 4+ hours/day and my intermitent usage nowadays I think that's a fair average). I probably spend around 2 hours a day on other sites on average. This excludes my work usage! So I guess my Org age is 0.83 years. My Internet Age is 1.66 years. Calculations I used (someone correct me if they've got a better way of doing it and I'll edit this post - I'm not very good at maths and prepared to admit this could be wrong): No of hrs/day spent at Org x no. of years spent at Org x 365 = Total Org Hours No of hrs/day spent on Internet x no of years using Internet = Total Internet Hours Divide the above two numbers by 8760 (which is 365 x 24) to get your Org age. ... what's scary is that I think that's quite excessive ... but I'm sure there are quite a few of you who are even older!

Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

I've done all the hard work for you. All you need to do is fire up your PC's calculator and put in the figures. Easy peasy! Now get on with it and no excuses

I understand the concept but I suck at math! It was just easier to post my time on the org as an orger 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I've done all the hard work for you. All you need to do is fire up your PC's calculator and put in the figures. Do you know of an easy to understand tutoral for that? 1. Either fire up your PC calculator or get a real calculator 2. Estimate the number of hours per day you spend on the Org - type that figure onto calculator. 3. Press the "multiply key" - the one with the "x" or "*" on it 4. Put in the number of years you have been on the Org 5. Follow step 3 again 6. Put in the number "365" 7. Press the "equals sign" - the one with "=" on 8. Press the "divide by" key 9. Put in the number "8760" 10. Press the "equals sign" 11. You should now have your Org age. You can follow the above instructions to get your Internet Age but in step 2. put the total average hours per day you spend on the internet.

My God! but in reality it's much less because, whilst I've been on the org for 10 years, for about 5-6 of those years i'd visit for about 10 minutes to read the headlines and only post if i was feeling incredibly brave. So it's 4 proper years, and I took a year off, that figure is more likely to be 0.6, I reckon. maybe less. It's only recently that I've become a true org addict.

i'm not doing any damn math, but i was here when the ppml chatroom opened in late 1996, and at hammer's prior to that. "I don't need your forgiveness, cos I've been saved by Jesus, so fuck you."
