For the record (just in case it was directed at me): I hope no-one thinks I think I have all have the answers, by any means. My life is complicated enough - and has its' own problems - so I'd hardly hold myself up as some flawless figure. Far from it.

But, particularly on a message board, when someone asks for help, advice or tries to reach out, you respond to that. I'd think that was a pretty natural thing to do (unless you have no feelings whatsoever). Whether that person responds to it or not is their choice.

And, in the same way I learnt myself, I very rarely tell people what to do - that's for the person concerned to find out. All you're doing is lending a sympathetic ear. And, hopefully, being able to offer some support or advice. If my friends need me, I'll always be there; but - sometimes - you just have to figure out these things in your own way. But that doesn't mean you don't care about the person/their situation or that you cannot reach out to them. Isn't life, after all, about making connections????


I think some people around here - and I do not mean jony, specifically - are far too suspicious of other peoples' motives sometimes. It's a website - chill out! And perhaps we should all start checking our own back yards...
