I have always felt like there was something missing... especially in the last 8 years. since I was a child I've known I won't lead a long life but hope to make the most of it while it lasts

why do you say that, hon? seriously... do you believe it?

I'm asking I guess because I've only ever known of one other person who has felt that way... I dunno I kinda always have just KNOWN I wouldn't have a long life like I knew I wouldn't have children. a fact, not a question

shrug

For all my life.. well maybe since I was about 15 or 16, I knew I wouldnt have a very long life, and I havent a long lifeline on my palm either. Circumstances have allowed me to believe this is quite possible.. and its quite scary too.. but I always said I would prolly die when I am 36 and its quickly creeping up on me..

sad ...but I know where you're coming from

I've never felt a particular age was it, though, just that it would be reasonably young... the Grimshaws don't have a history of old age and either do the other side of my family. combined with other health related stuff it don't make for 100 years old you know what I mean? lol

do u think you were given the idea of living a short life as a way to make u challenge that notion by doing what u can to live a long and happy one by believing you will?

Not really.. I have kinda lived my life in the fast lane and done so many doifferent things that some ppl could only dream of doing, and again alot of bad things happened that I have lived through and grown strength from them.. so its not like I am conciously thinking *I may have a short life, lets be all happy and roses and go to disney world* and stuff like that.

I just feel like I am slowing down now.. really slowing down to a stop..

could b a whole new world is opening up 4 u, after u've had a good rest. ?

i used to think 'death' only had one meaning, the obvious one, physically dying, and much like you, i lived my life in the fast lane as well, but then one day after i'd thought about things, i figured mayb 'death' could also mean Change.

I dont mean living my life in the fast lane as being a bad thing.. just I lived in a whirlwind, and sometimes its difficult to either keep up with it, or slow down and realise how many things you have actually gone through.. then it sets into your mind, and your mind slowly catches up with the traumas and bad things that may have happened.. and the good things, dont get me wrong.. but I mean really that maybe I have had my fair share or quota of fun.. and its dwindled out, and I have not much to give now, or receive..

I've always called myself a gypsy because although I love home and security, I do get unsettled and want to take off and see new things at times (hence this years travel-bug).

But I'm not curious about people. I rarely like people in general and am always pleasantly surprised when I come across ones I like. I'm curious about the world though.

Are our souls alike? You tell me smile

Yas,that pretty much describes me. I haven't been able to settle down at all.
I'm always doing things on a whim and paying for it later.

No way. I don't understand how someone can enjoy life that way.

I guess to name it mine would be a soul at peace.

isn't that the point?

Diamond Dave understands

Rockin' steady in her daddy's car
She got the stereo
With the big guitars
And that's all right
(All right)

I got the itch
And a restless soul
She gone with the wind
Gonna go for broke tonight
And that's all night

Maybe that's your point. But I don't think I'd call it the point.

As for me, I get restless from time to time and am calm sporadically as well. Overall lately I'm quite content. But give it a year and I'll get all restless again. It tends to go in cycles for me, but has more to do with what's going on in my life than anything.

Well I didn't mean so much peace of soul in life, but as more a spiritual walk and achievement type thingy.

"We took these two little people with us on tour, Jimmy and Danny, as my bodyguards. They're probably 3 1/2, 4 1/2 feet tall. We had 'em in 'S.W.A.T." uniforms. If nothing else, I can wake up in Tunafish, Wyoming, nine in the morning, hung-over; even if I'm miserable, I can look out the door to the hallway and there goes a midget in a bath towel holding the hand of a girl he was with last night--and I know I'm in rock 'n' roll!"

I'm just a gigolo,
And everywhere I go,
People know the part I'm playing.

Paid for every dance,
Selling each romance,
Ooh, what they're saying.

There will come a day,
When youth will pass away,
What will they say about me?

When the end comes I know
I was just a gigolo,
Life goes on without me.

I'm just a gigolo,
And everywhere I go,
People know the part needs playing.

Paid for every dance,
Selling each romance,
Ooh, what they're saying.

There will come a day,
When youth will pass away,
What will they say about me?

When the end comes I know
I was just a gigolo
Life goes on without me.

'Cause...I ain't got nobody
Nobody cares for me, nobody, nobody cares for me
I'm so sad and lonely, sad and lonely, sad and lonely
Won't some sweet mama come and take a chance with me
'Cause I ain't so bad

You know baby
It’s so lonesome all of the time
Even on the beat, only only on the beat
[Scat]

I ain’t got nobody
Nobody cares for me
Nobody nobody
[Scat]

I ain't got nobody
Nobody, nobody cares for me, nobody, nobody
I'm so sad and lonely, sad and lonely, sad and lonely
Won't some sweet mama come and take a chance with me
'Cause I ain't so bad

Gettin' so lonesome baby, lonesome all of the time
Even on the beat, Johnny, Johnny on the beat
Get low so, daddy, mama
Sonny said he’s got nobody no ooh no...
Say now
Nobody (Nobody) x5
Nobody cares for me

I've lived in such a whirlwind for the past three years, and I'm a bit afraid of letting my mind catch up with it all. At this point I think I'd rather keep pushing forward until I've gotten certain things out of my system. Then, when the dust settles, I'll hopefully be in a happier place than I was when this crazy phase started.
