Guys, have you ever wanted to grow a full beard?

We have hair growing on our faces! It's pretty wild! Doesn't it make you wonder what you would look like if you just let it grow? Some guys seem to always choose the clean shave, but most have at least once felt compelled to grow a full beard out of curiosity if for no other reason. I've had a full beard (well, as full as it gets on my face; it's not that thick on the sides) and a moustache for about a month now. I'm actually digging it.

Have you ever tried it? How did it look? If you no longer have it, why did you shave it off?

Why did you get it? Out of curiosity? To hide your ageing face? (yes, some people do it for that reason) Because it looks good? Or maybe because it feels good?

Because I'm lazy and hate shaving every morning.

Fair enough. You seem like the kind of guy who would have a five o' clock shadow, so it makes sense. I, however, had to spend a friggin' month before it was long enough to even look like a beard. smile

Now that I have it, I've noticed that other beardies give me a nod or a smile sometimes as if they're thinking "Oh, so you're one of us? Us beardies have to stick together". It's like an invisible cult. smile

As I was growing my beard I looked ridiculous too, since the strands on the sides of my face are fewer and further apart. But now the few I have are so long that they've created the illusion of a real beard. It's basically a beard comb-over. smile

I think you would look pretty cool with a full beard actually. Then you could wear a white toga and sandals and take your teachings to the streets. smile

i look like i'm 40 when i grow my facial hair. 12 when i shave it all off... so it's usually a bit of stubble, most of the time, unless i have a girlfriend, because i am considerate like that.

My mate always tries to grow one. I saw him at reading for the first time in about 4 weeks - you know what trying to grow any form of beard is at my tender age, right? Well he had these disgusting patches of blonde pubes on his chin, right cheek, left sideburn and upper lip. Just horrible.

Beards age a guy about about 10 years. If you dig the old look, beards are for you.

Some guys grow beards to cover up their wrinkles though. Actually makes them look younger, in some cases.

My moustache grows at three times the speed of my beard and gets bushy real fast! You have to trim it. nod
