its a fantastic film.
Easily in my "top ten"
I shall need to find the book.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

Yes, it's a very good book - I read it quite some time ago though.

I can remember being disappointed that he left his lover because I thought he could have been happy there.

I think there has been some dispute as to how much is true though.

That disappointed me too.nod The grass isn't always greener
and all that. Well, he did regret it, so he wrote, at least when he was really miserable, lol.
Although he insisted that it all was true, Charriere probably didn't
experience everything happening in the book himself, but used the
stories from co-prisoners as well. But who knows?
It's an amazing story of survival nevertheless.
The movie's great too! (The last scene has me in tears
every time).
Well, lucky-lucky us. Lucky-lucky-luck.
