So, I landed myself in Hospital today .....

Woke up this morning, feeling wonderful, had a great nights sleep and felt really refreshed.

Then I go to my Appointment with the Nurse to have my Bloods done, you know the one where they drain out 3 of those little Tubes of Blood. All is going well, until a minute or two after the nurse had finished. Started with that queasy stomachy feeling you get, then my head goes all light and wishy washy....BAM !!...Next thing I know I am waking up with people standing over me and an oxygen mask on - I was thinking "What the Hell are you doing in my bedroom !!" I didn't even realise where I was confused Very scary, as I was drifiting in and out of consciousness for a minute or so - Next thing I know there are 3 Paramedics there linking me to an ECG eek

Turns out my Blood Pressure kinda disappeared and my heart rate kinda went along with it for the trip neutral The Nurse obvioously needed to be sure I was ok so she called them.

Got to the Hospital and a 'really caring' Nurse wittered on about how it was all in my Head and I should't be scared of Needles - Funny, I used to give blood and they used Needles like whaling Harpoons what makes you think I am frightened of them??

Amazingly while all this was going on a woman in reception was complaining about how she was made to wait for her appointment with the Nurse eek So much for Human Compassion lol

I am ok now, mostly a little embarressed razz

I have no idea !!! I am just glad I requested to lie on the Trolley while they did it.....Otherwise that concrete floor wouldv'e broke my fall.....and probably my Skull lol

The Doctor at the Hospital was saying how it is very common for folk to end up their after having Blood taken. But like I said, I used to be a Blood Donor and they did the same thing, take a sample then a Pint.....So Lord knows why I conked out !!!

That's why I'm afraid to donate blood. I feel like I couldn't possibly have any to spare! lol

To both Jersey and Supa.

Giving Blood isn't as scary as it seems and you get a free Cup of Tea and Biscuit afterwards lol Its also nice to know that maybe that Pint goes to help someone life - There was and probably still is a shortage of Donors in the UK, So although I guess I was selfish in effect I enjoyed it cuz I knew it would do some good, that in turn made me feel good smile

Jersey - Theres nowt wrong with being afraid of Needles, Hell I have to be sedated for any Dental treatment.....Thats my Nemesis !!!

There were 2 ParaMeds in the Ambulance and 1 Paramed who arrived in a Car - Apparently he / She is the 1st response.

They were really great, I have been fortunate to have never needed Paramedics before today and I must say they did a great Job thumbs up!
