So, I have high blood pressure. Like, really high....185 over 117 off my medicine kind of high. I'm trying to make some healthy changes to my diet, one step at a time. Yesterday, while food shopping, I decided to buy Silk Light instead of my normal 2% milk.

I have to say, it's not bad at all!!! I was expecting it to be some vile, barf inducing drink, but I think I can work with this stuff!

woot!

great thread zzz glad you shared neutral

it'll be good for your kids as well, but you will need calcium in your diet.
can you get some exersize besides destroying public restrooms?

I buy the calcium enriched orange juice.

And actually, my son wants to join the local boxing gym, so I've been thinking about going with him to just get some cardio exercise, not to get hit in the face, I don't like that too much.

What's wrong with 1% or skim? Silk is good. But you still won't get alll of the vitamins that dairy products offer....even calcium enriched juice. Drinking that much sugar never could float my boat anyway

What matters is your B/P ON your meds. The diastolic pressure sure as hell better be lower than 117. Time Bomb.....hope you have a good physician keeping track.

All commercial milk contains blood and pus. They hook the cows up to automatic milking machines which strains the utters because of all the toxic growth hormones:
