I wish I knew.. I have yet to figure out where my home is...
I have lived in Florida for 22 years but never felt like it was home. I moved here from Maryland- maybe that is still home for me?

if it where the heart is, then my home has been pretty much destroyed... rebuilding it is taking a long time!

Belgium. But I feel more at home in the city I've been living in for the last 7 years, than in the town where I grew up.

I do. I've said many a thing at the wrong moment leading to awkward silences and such...but I won't jack the thread on a whole other level.

Actually, I will. Let's change the subject.

One story:

I was sitting in Spanish class last term and it was really quite hot, being summer and all. My friend complained he was sweating and the teacher agreed saying something along the lines of "yes, it's just far too humid." I said, thinking that the class would still be chatting, "God, I love sweat." The class wasn't talking. They were all sitting in silence. The room remained in silence for about 20 seconds after that before my teacher took the cue and started teaching. That was really bad.

What embarassing situations have other orgers been in?

From Wikipedia:
The western end of Queen (sometimes simply referred to as "Queen West") is now best known as a centre for Canadian broadcasting, music, performance, fashion, and the visual arts. Over the past twenty-five years, Queen West has become an international arts centre, and a major tourist attraction in Toronto.

The area between University and Spadina Avenues was a cultural nexus in the 1980s. In the 1960s and early 1970s, this stretch of Queen Street West was an aging commercial strip, known for "greasy spoon" restaurants and inexpensive housing in the area. In the late 1970s and 1980s, the area was transformed by local students, including those of the nearby Ontario College of Art & Design, and the area developed an active music scene which largely defined Canadian music of its era.

This scene included key figures such as Martha and the Muffins, Jane Siberry, Blue Rodeo, Mary Margaret O'Hara, Parachute Club, Boys Brigade, Spoons, Blue Peter, The Viletones, The Diodes, The Pursuit of Happiness, B. B. Gabor and Dalbello.

The vibrant arts culture soon attracted other artists, audiences, and wealthier people to the area. Since then, the name "Queen Street" has become synonymous with the words "trendy", "hip", "cool" and ultimately, "expensive". This is usually what Torontonians now refer to as "Queen West" when they use the term. Luckily, a few of the older and hipper bars such as the Cameron, the Horseshoe Tavern and The Rivoli have not changed too much, and top Canadian musical and comedy acts can still often be found performing in the area.

The CHUM-City Building, housing CHUM Limited's television operations, is located at the corner of Queen and John Streets in this area. Most notably among the CHUM operations, MuchMusic has become intimately associated with Queen Street's culture; the station's VJs have often broadcast their segments live from outside the building, and programs such as Electric Circus and the MuchMusic Video Awards have regularly taken place on the street.

I was raised by a pack of wild dingo-like mongrels in the backwoods of upstate New York.

So for me,
home is anywhere within a 15 mile radius just south of Rochester.

I have family in Macedon, NY (just a bit south of Rochester).

Now that I think of it they are rather wild dog-like. hmmm
