Who is your favorite radio talk show host? The caveat here is that we're NOT talking about a music or comedy show (i.e. Howard Stern)
I'm going after someone that seriously discusses issues. My choice? Gene Burns (pictured with Maya Angelou) ... ...KGO-AM 810 (San Francisco) http://www.kgoam810.com/c...?DJID=3451 To me, this guy is the epitome of style, grace and intelligence. Since he is a Libertarian politically, you get a different point of view. So who is yours? Do you listen to talk-radio at all? terry gross, i guess. i'm not big into radio, nor do i subscribe to the whole pundit puppet show thing. terry gross just seems like a nerdy little librarian lady who is easily amused by smart people. i like her. good times. [Edited 8/29/06 9:30am] | |

Not so much a talk show host but I love Steve Wright's show. For those of you not in the UK, you can listen to his Ask Elvis download or Podcast here:

Australians - you know what I mean (hehe pun fully intended) Hey there. Does John Laws have streaming audio on a website? Gene Burns does, along with an hour by hour playback of the previous day's show. http://www.kgoam810.com/A...e&id=49920 tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. John London. Kind of comedy, but so is Rush Limbaugh. He recently got fired for offering his listeners $5000 to kill ($7000 if he suffered) Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller, who's slot he followed on 106.9 Free FM in San Francisco. My Legacy

Depending on when I leave, sometimes I catch a bit of Bernie Ward. I used to listen to crazy Ray Taliaferro at home. My experience with talk-radio started when driving home from gigs. Music was the last thing I wanted to hear so I started scanning the dial... ...Art Bell is who I found. What a great show. That got them going on how pretentious & arrogant he was, but the breaking point was when Penn declared that Mother Theresa only did what she did for her own perverted sexual desires. That's when London made the $5000 offer. It was all a joke, obviously, but but they fired him immediately and never referred to him again. London was once talking about rock star debauchery and said Zeppelin was the worst, absolutely sick. They would get a bunch of pre-teen girls in a room and then bring in Penn to do his magic act for them. My Legacy
