Is the restaurant chain POCKETS just a Chicago thing, or are they all over the place?

All I know is, they're nasty. They're supposed to be pita sandwiches, but all they do is stuff a three-month-old cheesecloth-textured pita (covered in sawdust, apparently) with TONS of shredded lettuce, some gross chopped up dried mushrooms, and some carrot chunks with the density of woodchips. Then they pour some salad dressing on it and call it food.

It's VULGARITY is what it is!

And what kind of name is that? "MMMMM, I'm eating a POCKET!" It sounds like some kind of disgusting old person lingo for oral sex! GROSS!

I'll have nothing to do with this hideous establishment from here on out. I just wanted to make it public.

If anyone else wants to publicly divorce a restaurant chain, here's the place to do it. And if you can't think of any now, just wait a few weeks. Imago will probably dredge this thread out of the great Org beyond like he did with all my other threads today.

how do you feel about Panera?...i just had my first panini from them...i need to try it again..i have mixed feelings

Sorry I LOVE Pockets but I just usually have the calzone stuffed with mozarella, turkey and spinach. That mess you are talking about, I have no idea. Salad between pita bread just sounds gross.

I remember reading his "Briefer" history of time book, where he kind of rewrites to original book but in more-or-less layman's terms, taking out the difficult stuff and making it more within reach of lesser intellects.... I still didn't understand that shit.

I so thought you had gone all Gollum on us and were about to launch into a rant about lint in your pants pockets, preciousss.

And I'm a little disappointed.

Panera is fucking wonderful.

Even if you only eat the bread. Besides, they have a vegetarian sandwich with vegetables, hummus, peppers, etc. that even I eat.

The panini's are alright, but the gourmet sandwiches are better.

And they always have some nice soups to choose from with a piece of baguette.


Oh, and free WiFi! The only thing that's disappointing is there's some kind of adult content filter, so you can't go to You Tube at ALL,
and I can't look at pictures of pregnant Japanese teenagers while I eat.

It seems kinda silly now,
but my initial thought was that this thread was gonna be a sort of "call to arms" for all the handless orgers out there,
against the fashion industry for tormenting them by not making a wider selection of pocketless pants for this particular consumer group.

And while I'm blessed enough to still be retaining all of the extremities that I was born with,
I was gonna post here to send a bravo shout-out my semi-limbed org brothers for not letting their disability from restraining their ability to log-on...and
... y'know,...just give 'em all a hand.
