Seriously,
In the last year how many songs have you downloaded from the Internet that wasn't itunes or some legitimate source?


I find that I can't stand file sharing sources anymore becuase of all the fake files.

I think I might have downloaded 50 or so songs, but I've bought way more than that legit in the last year.

how do you define legit?

gigs upon gigs, soulseek is the best fucking program period. I hardly EVER come across fake or corrupted files. Like, EVER.

I stopped downloading because of all the bogus files too, and now that I've returned to buying music and movies I'm actually quite happy with it. I like having proper packaging, perfect sound, etc. All my old downloads are just sitting in an old folder somewhere collecting dust.

i don't use that filesharing crap. i always wind up with a jacked-up computer full of viruses and pop-ups.

surely, it's into the thousands. newsgroups, peeps.

my iPod has corrupted me, I haven't really bought music over a year now. Downloaded many gigs of music over the last year. Hell, I don't even own a legal copy of 3121.....

Probably about 150-200. I use Limewire for the odd song and Bit Comet for albums. I still buy CDs though, and don't consider a file on the computer anything like a match for them. I tend to just download the odd older track I no longer have on CD with me here, or try out new stuff before going to buy the CD (or not if I find I don't like the music that much).

Tooooo many.

I did a couple off iTunes once but it pissed me off majorly with the Australian licencing laws. There was seriously NOTHING on the catalogue I even wanted
but aside from that, YEARS ago I found a whole lot of songs from who knows where, before things got really strict.
I don't bother with it now.

i like the bittorrents, but damn it makes me feel guilty every time. i still buy cds to even it out tho, when i have the cash and if it's something i REALLY like.

I have legit CD's and only download what I can't buy at the Store. I have about 100 - 200 albums worth in downloaded material.

This is still a lame thread, btw.
