I've actually been dying to play Matlock in court, I know damn well I'm intelligent enough to do it. My cousins husband is an attorney and he gave me a walkthrough on how to cross examine the officer myself in court and promised me it would give me a 90% chance of having the ticket dismissed. It was always easier to just pay the fine, but now I have TWO tickets that total about $380!!!

Had we met up in March, I could have given you one of my cards; you always keep it just under your license, that way when you pull out your license, it's the first thing we see.

Also, don't try to argue a ticket, you won't win; you were either speeding or you weren't. You could plead it down to save some cash and points.

How in the hell can you get a speeding ticket? There's a toll booth here like every 100 feet requiring you to stop or slow down.

If you show up to court for the ticket, I believe the officer is required to be there as well. I got out of a ticket several years ago for blowing a stop sign, because the officer didn't show up.

Some states will require you to show up in court if you have too many tickets within a certain time frame; they won't let you just mail it in.
