deep fried

Every year at the county fair, something unusual gets "fried"...
this year it was Deep fried Olives,Avocado's,and Twinkies.
Last year it was Snicker'Bars... confused

What's the most unusual/weird food item you've tasted fried?
and ,would you eat any of the one's mentioned above?
my phone is heavy

I'll try anything deep fried. At least you know it will taste good. lol

The weirdest fried things I've eaten were fried tofu and fried ice cream. Not too weird.

I eat fried tofu all the time. Not deep fried, mind you.

Fried Oreos and deep fried pickles.

I don't think fried gator tail is too uncommon, but I had that a couple times and LOVED it! razz

I heard about deep fried Snickers bars as being very popular in Scotland about 5 or 6 years ago.

I love fried foods. HAve to stay away though...that whole "cholesterol" thing.

Deep-fried calamary was probably the weirdest thing I've
tried on a stick. All I can say is that it was tough,
tough, tough! Hard to figure out how they managed to get
it on a stick! lol

Not real big on that stuff at the fair.... neutral

Now deep-fried mini-donuts that's a different story! biggrin

Y'alls? Like you don't live here. lol That's your state fair, too. Own it! Love it! I tried the deep fried mac n cheese - nasty shit. It's all dry and crusty. Also tried the fried corn on the cob. Doubly disgusting. All the corn like shriveled up so it was like a soggy cob under some yucky batter. Now the deep fried Scotch egg (hard boiled egg covered in sausage, batterd and deep fried)? drool That's some disgusting shit that I will eat again and again!

As far as fried tofu goes, what's so odd about it? I love tofu and fried is one of the best ways.

My teammates tricked me into eating it actually, but it tasted pretty good! I can't recall a very distinct taste and all, but it came with dipping sauces of garlic and whatever else! I'd eat 'em again.
