Anyone here who remembers the TV show "Sledge Hammer"

I personally remember watching it a lot when I was kid.... I think it was shown on Icelandic TV around '89 or something (we were a bit behind with US TV shows back then).... Then 2 years ago the first season was released on DVD and when I found out I immediately bought a copy.... I think the show has aged rather well when it comes to the humour, although certain jokes are of its time ("He makes Rambo look like Pee Wee Herman" lol ).... Also the lack of the laugh track actually improves the show..... Last week I bought the second (and unfortunately final) season on DVD and I've been enjoying it just like the first season.... My friends are now hooked on the show, even though many of them don't remember very well when it was shown originally on TV.....
Anywho, is anyone else here who remembers this show?

that's so 80s! i remember when it was on TV originally, but i never watched it. we were never a big cop show household, even if it was a funny cop show. our limit was barney miller or maybe cagney & lacey. lol

OMG I LOVE THAT SHOW!!

It was shown here in Finland at about 12pm and at the time when me and my boyfriend were just starting to date. We would watch it on our own at home and send loads of txt messages whenever Hammer said something hilarious etc. It was the time when we realised how similar sense of humor we had, which was very romantic.. lol

I rolled on the floor, that show was so goood!! Hammer was always so optimistic and so rude.. I wish I could get the DVD.. sad

falloff Oh hell, I remember watching that! My teacher in high school and I were the only loonies I knew who watched the programme lol

It only used to be shown late on at night, about 1a.m.(ish). If I didn't stay up to watch it I always taped it boxed

I haven't heard it mentioned for years lol Cheers purplehippie.
