Media attention can happen for both positive and negative actions and it appears that T.O. loves to revel in the negative. I just think that he should try to keep his word to the Cowboys and dammit just play football and get paid in the process. Nobody's harping on his every move-he is drawing the unwanted attention to himself.

So do I, but as a man if he gave his word to do better and play the damn game then he should do that and stop making a mockery of himself, every brotha on the field and the game.

I ONLY pay attention 2 the games on SUNDAYS. This other stuff means NOTHING. The players know that, the general public does not.

I think that a man's character has to be shown 365 not just on Sundays. If T.O. acts like this most of the time it starts to overshadow his performances on Sundays-it does matter wink .

And the media thought we Minnesotans had it bad with Randy Moss. lol

Yet when we traded him away, the media did a 180 degree turn on us and said why the hell did we trade him.

Stupid media. wacky

Well, he and Trotter came to blows in he lockerroom and it was swept under the rug. There were a lot of Eagle teammates that weren't feelin' that cat.

I'm not going 2 argue the point. There is ALWAYS multiple vies going on. Notice that the media NEVER reported anyone on T.O.'s side did they?

Don't fool yourself....Terrel wants and needs the attention.

If he didn't he would not do things like dance mid-field on the Cowboys star, or pull out a Sharpie to sign the ball after a touchdown DURING a game (Monday night game at that), or diss teamates like Jeff Garica and Donovan McNabb in the press, or hold press comferences in his driveway while working out to protest the $49 million contract he willingly signed, or wear a cycling helmet during practice, etc.....

I agree...but there 2 sides 2 a story is all I'm trying 2 say. The media rarely offers BALANCED reporting. T.O. is a butt head though.

Actually, they said the lockerroom was divided between Don and T.O.

You are right, the media rarely does offer balanced reporting and there probably are two sides to each of T.O.'s outbursts. But the way T.O. and his agent present themselves, no one is going to be sympathetic to him.

However I do admit I may be jaded in my assessment of T.O. since I am a huge 49ers fan (don't laugh) and he burned us bad so my judgment may be a little clouded on this one.

Detroit is in first place in the Americal League Central by 5 games over the White Sox and they have the best record in Baseball right now with a 82 - 49 record.

The A's are in first place in the American League West by 7-1/2 games over the Angels, they have a 76 - 56 overall record but have the best record since the All Star break and have the best record in August with a 21 - 5 mark.

If the White Sox or Twins wins the Wild Card, then most likely the A's will play Detroit in the first round of the playoffs.

T.O. returns to Cowboys practice
NFL.com wire reports

IRVING, Texas (Aug. 29, 2006) -- Terrell Owens practiced for the first time in 10 days, an indication he's getting over his hamstring injury and is heading toward his debut with the Dallas Cowboys.

Next question: Will it be in the preseason finale at home against Minnesota? Or the season opener a week from Sunday at Jacksonville?

Considering the safe-not-sorry approach everyone involved has been preaching, Owens is likely to be held out until the opener.

However, he has so much catching up to do there's a chance he could be used for a series or two in the preseason finale.

Neither Owens nor coach Bill Parcells were available for comment after a team spokesman announced that Owens participated in an afternoon workout that was closed to reporters. Owens' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, also did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment.

Owens hurt his left hamstring the first week of training camp and missed 14 straight workouts. He practiced five straight times, then aggravated the injury and shut himself down after a morning workout Aug. 19.

Owens was fined $9,500 for being late to meetings and a rehabilitation session Friday. He said that he overslept.

The Cowboys are 3-0 this preseason without Owens, with fellow receiver Terry Glenn repeatedly making big plays.

He will be fine, as will the future superbowl champion Dallas Cowboys. Once the season starts, he will catch touchdowns and all will be forgiven. We all hated Deion, Keyshawn, and any other A-hole until they put on a Cowboy jersey.
