I find a lot of tv shows and toys directed at children to not only be annoying, but downright creepy and disturbing too. I don't know what I'll ever do if I end up having kids. I've already made up my mind to keep as much "kid" music out of the house as possible, with a few exceptions.

nod yup, when I cook or drive the kids have to listen to Ultimate Prince disc 2, it is simply the way things are. They don't have any CDs of their own.

I always start off the first monday of the week with a corny kids song even though the kids are usually 13, 14 or even 15 I usually do the days of the week song.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, These are the days of the week

Start each day with a smile, and you'll be having fun,
So won't you try and make this day a very, very special one

Repeat above... do the pledge of allegiance.. sit down.. start work!!!

I think that's the way I'd end up going. I have some music that's definitely not child-friendly, but most of it could pass muster for the under 4-foot-tall set. Prince or the Backyardigans? No contest. smile
