Giaradelli is always good. Especially their dark chocolate/ espresso bar. One little square at a time. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss

Mexican Hot Cocoa.
I can't remember the recipe word for word, but you get that baking chocolate in the Spanish import food section in the grocery store (I think it's Aurela or something? It has a friendly old woman on the front?) Melt it on the stove (carefully, chocolate burns easily) with sugar, milk, lots of cinnamon, and cornmeal. Yes, cornmeal. It makes a very thick, cinnamony hot chocolate. And for those that can't get over the cornmeal, have you ever eaten a churro? You know, those chewy cinnamon sticks at concession stands, sometimes filled with Bavarian cream? It's the same stuff. Imagine drinking a churro.

Here in Berkeley there's a Sharfenberger (sp?) factory, and even in the outlet store it's so expensive that you might as well buy a gram of coke instead.
damn good stuff, though. Mostly dark chocolate. My Legacy

And like $2.00 for something half the size of a Kit Kat. The factory has a cafe, which is good, too. And they give tours. [Edited 8/28/06 14:30pm] My Legacy

I've mentioned this before but my father's a freak - if he buys chocolate, it goes in the fridge, and he eats like a chunk or so every so often. It can take him about 8 months to finish it.
Sod that - it goes down in one with me.

OH. GOD. CHOCOLATE IS ORGASMIC!!! IT HAS ORGASMIC POWERERERZ I TELL YOU!!!
I just had a chocolate eclair...the pastry is juuust the right consistency...the chocolate icing is fresh, as is the sweet, freshly whipped cream too good!! When i'm at work, on a Friday, because i'm there for 10 hourz, in my last break i love to go to a chocolate cafe called Max Brenner! I either got the dark chocolate frappe or a hot chocolate souffle with a soft, tender hot chocolate centre which oozes out as you fork through it...served with strawberriez...divine. When i'm home- i love me some Arnott's Chocolate Teddy Bear Biscuits...i bite the ends off...dunk it in my coffee and suck. Then quickly eat the melting biscuit before it decapitates into the cup!! Also i have a fetish for this alpine milk chocolate from this supermarket discount chain called ALDI's!! OH dear lawd...so creamy...so sinfully addictive. Can you tell i love chocolate? No hablo espanol,no!
Pero hablo ingles..ssii muy muy bien... "Come into my world..." Missy Quote of da Month: "yeah, sure, that's cool...wait WHAT?! "

And you know I love my Krispy Kremes. There was a mini-fight in the Lewis household once when their dad 'accidentally' ate a Cherry Ripe, mistaking it for a muesli bar. Claire went mental as Katherine had sent it all the way from Australia and had been keeping it in the fridge specially. So they must be good.
