I do not feel too old either but it might be a few years before things work out enough in my life for a child then I wonder- will I be too old then? Should I just scratch that thought now? It really does not matter if I do not have one really.

I don't think there is an age, it depends on if you're body can handle it and that depends on the individual. Im in no rush to start my family, I have so many other things going on right now. My sister got married at 32 and had her son just over a week after her 34th birthday.

Whenever you are ready you are ready... I don't think there is a "too old" unless it's a health concern. Susan Sarandon had her first kid at 39...her youngest was born when she was 45.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

I'm 21 and without kids. (and hopefully stay without for a long time still!) I think "too old" is dependent on the woman in question. Her physical health, mental health, and living situation are just a few factors that would have to be considered. However, I do think it's wrong to undergo costly procedures to have a child when nature has already hit the stopwatch. If you must have a child at that age, what's wrong with adoption? I also think it's more than a little irresponsible to have a child at a point where you'll be collecting old age pension or risk being in a nursing home before they graduate high school.

This applies to fathers equally IMO. Parents is parents.

What are your thoughts on when someone is too old to have their first child?

Is 35 too old?

You're joking, right?

Madonna - first child at 37 years old.
Cheryl Tiegs - first child at 42 years old
Linda Evangelista - currently pregnant, first child will be at 41 years old.

As long as you take care of your body (exercise - cardio, strength, stretching) and eat properly, your body will sustain itself to carry life.

If you don't want to carry a child, go through invitro ($10,000), where you will have to give yourself injections for one month to mass produce eggs. You will produce around 48 eggs. 20-28 eggs would be perfect to fertilize, while the other eggs would be considered too young or too old. Find some compatible sperm (whomever you think is good enough to share DNA with your DNA). The eggs and sperm will be fertilized in a petri dish and 4 or 6 will be inserted into your surrogate carrier ($20,000). Nine months later, viola, you will have 2 - 6 children.

Isn't science amazing!

I think it costs even more than that (the whole egg freezing business). I just recently did a little scouring on the web 'cause I was thinking about it... until I saw the cost sigh
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

If I had the best obstetricians, personal trainers, live in chefs and nannies, I'd have a few kids into my late forties too. But since I have to do it all myself, NO EFFING WAY!!!! shake
